Rare velvet pig by Steiff c. 1900

The earliest-and some feel the most desirable- early Steiff pieces were the velvet animals, most of which were small and made singly or with sets of skittles. (A set of skittles recently sold for $15000).
I have a small collection of these animals and can say that the pig is one of the rarest forms. This example is near mint with red nose. It is 7" in length and 3 1/2" tall.
